OUR PASTOR

Pastor Maurice C. Trent Jr. was brought up in the fear of the Lord from childhood. A native of Lower Burrell, Pa, Pastor Maurice traveled the world first as a soldier in the US Army and later as a man on a mission, birthed by God.

While living in Atlanta, GA, Pastor Trent, along with his wife Mary, served in ministry at, "Upon This Rock Ministry," under the guidance of John and Candi (Staton) Susswell. There, Pastor Trent served as Armor Bearer to the Pastor, and was very instrumental in the building of the Ministry.

Pastor Trent then felt the call of God to move to the Pittsburgh area to join The Lighthouse, Pastored by the Late Bishop Maurice C. Trent Sr. and Lady Bishop Barbara Trent. He was ordained as Youth Pastor and he took charge of the Youth Ministry, which grew rapidly in size and numbers. He truly enjoyed serving the Lord, giving of his time and resources to the kingdom of God.

Pastor Trent was ordained as Pastor of The Lighthouse in April of 2003. Since then, Pastor Trent has been featured in several newspapers and TV News Features for the work that is being accomplished through The Lighthouse. Pastor Trent is a man of faith and integrity; dedicated to the calling of the Lord. His loyalty and commitment speaks for itself. Few can be highly spoken of when called upon to do God's Will.
