LYEP

LYEP (Lighthouse Youth Enrichment Program) kids find that learning can be fun. Each time LYEP kids walk in the door, they know they will be surrounded by people who care. Many friendships are made that will continue for a life time. Kids will have the opportunity to have help completing their homework, play fun learning games on the computer, enter the world of adventure while never leaving their chair (reading!) and enjoy a meal and a snack. This is just a few reasons why kids love LYEP!

THANKSGIVING OUTREACH

Each year LMCC volunteers gear up for the holiday season in Hilltop neighborhoods of Pittsburgh.  The goal is to provide families with the resources to prepare a Thanksgiving meal for their families.   With the declining economy many of the families in the communities that we serve find themselves in a struggle to meet the needs of their family.   It is our desire to help lighten their load during the holiday season with this small gesture. An event that goes beyond the excitement of the holiday has the capacity to impact families throughout the year.   During registration, we also register families for Toys for Tots and provide support and information for those in need of other assistance.

Register at 412-431-2230.

TOYS FOR TOTS

The mission of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community in which the campaign is conducted.

LMCC serves as a local center to distribute toys to registered famiies. Each year families must rester by October in order to be eligible for toys in December. To register contact the office by October 15th to ensure your placement. Families may only register with one agency. Registering with more than one agency will result in dismissal from the program.
